Green Tea

Being very stereotypical to the whole British and Tea stereotype, I am forever drink it, if I'm just finishing dinner or about to go to bed I have a cup. For my perfect cup just put no milk just one sugar and a PJ tea bag into a cup and I'm in heaven.

For a while now I been reading up on the benefits of green tea.

"Helps you lose weight

If you want to cut those extra inches around your tummy, switching to green tea could be a simpler way. A new study shows that green tea extract increases the rate of calorie burning by the body. It reduces blood fat, cholesterol, bloated ness, detoxifies the body and suppresses untimely food cravings. Enabled with diuretic properties, it also eliminates excess water and thereby reduces excess weight. So the best way to get rid of that paunch is to have green tea along with the right amount of bodily exercise.

Boosts exercise endurance

According to scientists, antioxidants present in green tea extracts increase body’s ability to burn fat as fuel which accounts for improved muscle endurance. It also enhances energy levels and boosts your metabolism.

Reduces the risk of heart attack

Drinking green tea rapidly improves the health of body cells lining the blood vessels and also helps in lowering one`s risk for heart disease. The flavonoids present in this tea protect the heart by relaxing the blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. So,protect your heart and have green tea on a regular basis.

Fights against various cancers

The antioxidants in tea helps protect against a shipload of cancers, including breast, colon, colorectal, skin, lung, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, pancreas, liver, ovarian, prostate and oral cancers. Green tea extract is reported to induce cancer cell death and starve tumours by curbing the growth of new blood vessels that feed them.

Hydration benefits

If you love drinking green tea then there is good news for you.Contrary to common belief that tea dehydrates, green tea provides hydration benefits similar to water.Tea not only rehydrates as well as water does, it also has many other health benefits.

Protection from harmful ultraviolet rays

The sun’s UV rays in summer act as a constant threat. Green tea is rich in antioxidants that scavenge harmful free radicals in the body according to researches. Also using green tea extracts along with your sunscreen could afford you the greatest level of sun protection.

Keeps Diabetes in check

Green tea can do wonders to a person suffering from diabetes.Green tea apparently helps regulate glucose levels slowing the rise of blood sugar. It also triggers and stimulates insulin production and activates the functioning of pancreas to some extent.Blood sugar level in the body is also normalized and regularized by the use of green tea.

Prevention and treatment of neurological diseases

Polyphenols in green tea may help maintain the parts of brain that regulate learning and memory. So, regular consumption of green tea could help in prevention of degenerative and neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson`s.

Anti- Ageing benefits

Antioxidants found in green tea fight free radicals thereby keeping a check on ageing and promoting longevity.Because it contains high levels of oligomeric proanthocyanidins one of the most powerful antioxidants, Green Tea is thought to help slow down the premature ageing process.

Boosts your immunity

Polyphenols and Flavonoids present in green tea boost the immune system to make the human body stronger in fighting various infections. Also, Vitamin C present in green tea keeps cold and flu away."

With all this in mind I had to pick up a packet of green tea

This months Glossybox review is nearing the end, only reason for this is I wanted to try and give a detailed review than just saying my first thoughts.

If you couldn't tell the theme from this months Glossybox it's 'Seaside Splash'. What a perfect name for it as it is the seaside season right now.

I am loving the packaging this month! Hands down its just very 'under the sea' with a hint of tropical mania.

Though I am not too sure as to how I am suppose to use this product my guess is that is it very closely matched to the ELF most and shine spray - 'Spray on after makeup application to set makeup in place or during the day for a quick touchup to refresh. After you have applied your makeup spray a light mist 12-16 inches from your face with eyes closed to set your makeup in place or use for a quick touchup throughout the day to refresh your makeup. Let it dry naturally or blot with a tissue to help speed dry.'

Having big bouncy curls in my hair or just having my hair curly is the near enough the only way I wear it! So when receiving a product that makes my hair curl like a dream and also giving it that ultimate shine I was over the moon.

I must be out of the loop, radiance serum? i have not heard of this before... ' 'wonder serum that will leave your skin feeling fresh and bright, gently fragranced with sandalwood. Suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive. Aloe vera and manuka honey to soothe and refresh. Gotu kola and lemon balm to tone and brighten the complexion.'

In one of my first ever Glossybox I received one if the items was a Ciate nail polish. After trying it for first time over a year ago I fell in love with it, easy to apply and great colours! This colour I received is just stunning to me and such a summery colour.

With SPF 20 and a cooling agent on your skin this is by far one of the must haves items for summer! Plus including: Hypoallergenic, Paraben Free, Ultra Sheer, Anti-Aging, Water Resistant (40 minutes) and No nano-sized particles  its the perfect essential to pop into your handbag.

'Letters To Juliet'

Where to begin. 'Letters To Juliet' is one of my all time favourite movies, the love story, the location and the emotional input into the film.

"Letters to Juliet is a 2010 American romantic drama film starring Amanda SeyfriedChris EganVanessa RedgraveGael García Bernal, and Franco Nero. This was the final film of director Gary Winick. The film was released theatrically in North America and other countries on May 14, 2010. The idea for the film was inspired by the 2006 non-fiction book, Letters to Juliet, by Lise Friedman and Ceil Friedman, which chronicles the phenomenon of letter writing to Shakespeare's most famous romantic heroine."

I'm not usually the type of person that will buy DVD's just for the sake of it, I will only buy it if I really enjoy the film. And in this case I loved it! Even though the film came out over 2 years ago, when seeing it at the cinema I fell in love but every time I would go into HMV or CEX it was never in stock (explain this to me!). But finally it was there, strait away I picked it up and headed for the checkout!

To Sum up the film in a nut shell, without giving anything away: When a young American, played by Amanda Seyfried, travels to the city of Verona she joins a group of volunteers who respond to letters to Juliet seeking advice about love. After she answers one letter dated from 1957, she inspires its author, played by Vanessa Redgrave, to travel to Italy in search of her long-lost love, which sets off a chain of events that will bring a love into both their lives unlike anything they have ever imagined.

How To Use A Travalo

When I first received my travalo I got very confused as to how the perfume went inside. I tried taking off the top of both the travelo and the perfume bottle off and pumping them together. But after seeing them on a local perfume counter, I plucked up the nerves to ask the lady working how I got the perfume inside. I'm just so glad that she didn't laugh in my face!

Step one: Take your perfume you would like in your travalo and remove the pump to revile a white tube pointing upwards.

Step 2: On the bottom of your travalo there will be a soft patch. Put the white tube into the soft patch and pump.

Step 3: Just keep pumping and you will see your travalo fill up with your perfume.

Now your ready to head out with your perfume to hand.
